| Philodina rugosa coriacea, specimen from (1), whirling, dorsoventral view. The morphotype "coriacea" can be recognized by the red color of the stomach. In combination with the skinfolds this species may be easily confused (according to BARTOS) with Mniobia scarlatina. Very strange that this specimen has two extra pigment spots (arrowheads)in addition to the two cervical eyespots (arrows). |
